Introduction

Sichuan College of Architectural Technology is a public vocational and technical college in Deyang, Sichuan, affiliated with the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It is important to be explicit that this is a vocational, associate-degree-granting institution (gaozhi gaozhuan) -- it does not award bachelor's degrees, and should never be catalogued or marketed to applicants as a bachelor's-degree university.

History

The college's roots trace to the Chengdu Urban Construction Engineering School, founded in 1956, which was renamed Chengdu Construction Engineering School in 1958 and relocated to Deyang in 1963. In April 2001, the Sichuan provincial government approved the merger of the former Sichuan Provincial Construction Engineering School, Sichuan Provincial Urban Construction School and Sichuan Provincial Construction Workers University to form the present-day Sichuan College of Architectural Technology, focused on construction and built-environment vocational training.

Campus & facilities

The college operates two campuses: the main Deyang campus and a Chengdu campus. As of late 2024 it reported roughly 16,500 full-time students and just over 1,000 full-time teaching staff.
